How Nomos Makes In-House Movements for Less

For the money, Nomos produces one of the best watches with an in-house movement. Their lowest priced timepiece, the 36mm hand winding Club (picture above), retails at €1,080 (USD $1,226.72).
How do they do it? Nomos thinks of their manufacturing process as being more similar to the auto industry, as apposed to their luxurious competitors (ie A. Lange & Söhne ). They focus on staying lean with industrial efficiencies, marketing, and administration. Basically, they channel their passion and long-term expertise into cutting costs and pleasing customers.

For all these reasons, Nomos is definitely in the running for my next watch!
